FAQ
What Types Of Liquid Can I Age?
Our barrels are suitable for aging a wide variety of liquids which consist of Rum's, Whiskey's, Tequila's, Brandy's & Vodka's. However, feel free to use your preferred spirit base.
Can The Barrel Be Used Again?
Yes. Historically, house spirits have been aged exclusively in oak barrels that have already held a spirit or wine. A used barrel will have a less intense flavor impact than a new barrel. The first use of a barrel extracts the most flavor from the wood, and subsequent uses yield a more subtle influence. Used barrels can add complexity and depth to a spirit, offering a more "seasoned" or mature taste.
Can Spirits Like Whiskey, Rum, Or Tequila Purchased From A Store Be Aged In Our Barrels?
Yes. Our barrels are suitable for aging a wide variety of liquids which consist of Rum's, Whiskey's, Tequila's, Brandy's & Vodka's. However, feel free to use your preferred spirit base.
What Level Of Toast & Char Come With Our Barrels?

This highlights specific notes derived from this treatment, as medium toasting releases notes like caramel, vanilla, & toffee while charring adds notes like smoke, spice, and oak. Light or heavy toast & char levels can be achieved upon request.

How Long To Age Spirit In Our Barrels?
For great results, whether store-bought or handcrafted, a neutral spirit benefits from a minimum of 3 months of aging in our barrels. However extended aging results in spirits with a heightened and intricate flavor. Fill them up and through years of patient aging in our barrels, a whiskey with a distinct and exceptional flavor profile is crafted.

What Do I Do If I See A Leak?
Should you observe a few drops of liquid on the exterior of the barrel head after filling, there is no need for immediate concern. Barrels, especially new or dry ones, often experience minor leaking as the wood barrel head will swell to create a tight seal. Allow the barrel to sit with water until all leaking ceases. This may take between 24 to 48hrs. If the leak persists, please contact me immediately to discuss further solutions.
